Illustrator is very powerful software for creating fancy vectors with awesome effects

because it has some very good tools. One of them is Blend Tool. In this first tutorial i will show you few examples where bled tool could be used.

 

1. Blend Tool instead of Gradients:

 

 

Here you can see i draw two circles with different colors.

To blend them i go to Object/Blend/Make.

 

 

You can edit the options (change ammount of objects)

by going to Object/Blend/Blend Options and changing Spacing option to Specified Steps.

For example if you enter number 10 you will have 10 more circles created in between first two with colors smootly going from one to another.

This works similar to gradients.

 

2. Blend two objects to create some fancy effects:

 

 

Here you can see i draw two circles.

Againg by blending them (Object/Blend/Make) or keyboard shotcut alt+ctrl+b

you will have following result:
